TERESA CHICHÉ (NÉE HENSELMANN) IS A COMPOSER OF ALTERNATIVE AND EXPERIMENTAL MUSIC. SHE IS A PRIZEWINNER OF THE COMPOSITION COMPETITION "Hafenstädte – Tore zur Welt« ORGANIZED BY THEATER KIEL, A PUBLIC-LAW INSTITUTION (AöR). SHE RELEASED HER DEBUT ALBUM, "BALLOON" (ALTERNATIVE FOLK), UNDER HER STAGE NAME SELMA NINÓ.
Teresa Chiché was born in Munich in 1996. After her bachelor's degree in musicology, she studied composition for film and media with Prof. Gerd Baumann at the University of Music and Performing Arts Munich. In 2018 she won the film composition competition "SCORE Kompositionswettbewerb für Filmmusik" of the Rheingauer Film-Symphoniker. In 2021/2022 she received a composition scholarship from the Franz Grothe Foundation and in 2025 she won the composition competition "Hafenstädte – Tore zur Welt« organized by Theater Kiel. As of September 2025, Teresa Chiché is an official mentee of the msm-studios Mentoring Programme – msm-studios, Munich & Berlin. In addition to working with directors, the 29-year-old composer also collaborates with modern dance choreographers, film production companies, photographers, voice-over artists, poets, instrumentalists, ensembles and wrote for the Schott Music GmbH und Co.KG
In her album, the 29-year-old composer, unconventionally and unimpressed by conventional song structures, deals with thoughts, memories, and stories that always carry a deep, social and self-reflective core.
